Jakarta - June holiday

My blog seems kinda dead now... thus a post to make it more "lively" then.

Wondering why I seldom blog now maybe coz there nth much to write about or nothing much to share.  Whatever it is, the only "big thing" that happened was that I was away for the whole of last week. Off to Jakarta I went, to visit my sister.....and most importantly the kids. They are so Kawaii-desu.

Jakarta sounds like a rather backward country (to me at first). But when I was there I was rather surprised that the city wasn't that backward as I tot it would be. The shopping malls are not only big, but MEGA big. Lots of prestigious brands too. And the price... no where cheaper than Singapore. Given the salary of the ppl there, it is really kind of difficult for them to afford. So it is kinda sad that the class difference is so big. That was why, the malls are also rather empty....

Was chauffeured around by my sister's driver. So no problem traveling around. Just tell him where was the destination and what time we were done... he would be there waiting for you on the dot. Anyway, I think it is necessary to have a driver to drive rather then driving ownself... coz the traffic was horrendously scary. The cars were so near to each other that u can't even open the door. Seldom see traffic lights, when there is one, normally there will be jam. You can reverse ur car along on-coming traffic roads.. and no one will sound the horns. Try it in sg... i think the horning will be non-stop.

Spend sometime in ipoh too coz I have to accompany my parents to Jakarta and back before I return to Singapore. So even though it was a one week break...  i didn't really get to rest well due to the hectic schedule.

Monday was double, triple blue.......totally dun feel like getting back to work. How I wish I found a rich into-chinese and be a Tai Tai then. No need work. The whole week was blue... jus that over the week the shade of blues became lighter only.

Looking forward to the next holiday..... August !!!

Batam Trip - 19th May

Batam was rather boring.. nth much but can say that it was rather a good place to R&R.

Set off to Batam on the 19th May morning with Lia. Once reached, we checked into Harris Resort Hotel. Tot that we can straight away start playing some of the activities but it started raining. Super sianz. So we went for lunch first and lucky enough, the rain stopped.

We started to play with ATV first followed by Banana boat... after that went to soak ourselves in the swimming pool before we headed to the rooftop for flying fox. Well flying fox was kinda scary... to me only.. Lia seems to enjoy it.

Went back to the room nua till dinner time. We had Korean for dinner and nv did we expect the portion to be so much... the side dished was not too bad. We finished 3 plates of Ikan Bilis. Lolz... ended the day with 1hr Traditional Indo Massage. After the massage, I slept super good.

Next morning, went down to the cafe for free breakfast before heading to the city for some shopping. Well... nothing much except lots of imitations. Kinda wasted our time to go to the city. I think the only good thing was that we got to eat A&W. Went back to hotel and off we go to the ferry terminal to get bat to SG.

There goes my weekend. Now I always felt that weekends are too short.... Can I have a longer weekend ?

Batam...

Gonna go for a 2D1N Batam trip with Lia on the 19th May. Can't wait for it to come fast as I really want a break from work.

All along wanted to go Batam for a rest and relax trip. Keep looking out for Batam deals and finally we saw the Harris Resort Deal.... $89 per pax with everything included plus 3 activities to choose front. Woohoo... can't wait to go. Not a about the what to do there but more of the "I am going on a break" feel.

Thank you ppl. I feel loved. Something I wanted for quite some time. Almost bought this but in the end, I bought the Lancome Miracle. But... i still got this as my birthday present  =)

My birthday ...

It's my birthday. Dun feel anything except that I am one year older.

Looking forward to weekend for a relaxin rest coz bday I still need to work. Lol

The carebear is the first bday gift I received from colleague. The bear looked so in love. Bet my colleague must be in love with me. Lol...

Ikoi @ Mirarmar

Went to Ikoi @ Mirarmar hotel for dinner buffet. Food not too bad... Think course I too long nv eat sashimi liao... the craving is back.

Love the bacon with cherry tomato though. Looking at the pic make me hungry now.

One week bye bye....

One week just passed by like that....

Time flies.... gonna be back to reality. Sob sob... can i stay longer. I want to stay longerrrrrrrrrr......

Life is good here. Food is good here.

The best part is that I dun need to work. Lolz....
